Mead for Mead People

Our homage to tradition: no fruit, no spice, just honey and fermentation in its purest form. These meads are born when a spontaneous culture pairs so perfectly with the honey that we refuse to dilute or disguise it. Canned in high-ABV formats, they’re designed to be bold yet drinkable—limited releases that will never be made the same way twice. Some rest in barrels, others highlight unique Appalachian honey varietals, but all stay true to the wild character of mead itself.

Ancestral Mead

A living expression of wild honey. Fermented only with native yeasts from raw local honey and finished by natural bottle conditioning, each Ancestral Mead continues to evolve over time. Cold aging halts fermentation early, preserving clarity before bottling, while barrel room aging awakens the honey’s own microbes to finish the mead dry and effervescent. With no filtration or preservatives, every bottle is its own microcosm—an ancient method reborn through Appalachian terroir.
